Join Claudia and Conrad Vispo from the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program in welcoming spring during a very leisurely walk across the flat meadows and through the floodplain forest of private land in Chatham Center. This is one of our favorite spring walks with an unusual diversity of spring flower species. Learn to recognize the common and not so common plants that specialize in floodplains, see them at different stages of their development, hear about their ecology and lore, observe their insect visitors. All ages are welcome. The walk is free, but space is limited. Please register with Claudia Knab-Vispo (518-672-7994) to reserve your space and receive directions.
