Join us for the 23rd Annual Hawthorne Valley Fall Festival celebration!
Sunday, October 8 | 10 am-4 pm
Free Admission | Rain or Shine
For 23 years, Hawthorne Valley has offered the Fall Festival as a free public event to thank our donors, customers, volunteers, community members, and local vendors for their support and partnership. The Festival is the perfect opportunity to get to know Hawthorne Valley’s diverse initiatives and experience the beauty of autumn in Columbia County. Over the years, the Festival has grown into a seasonal favorite with over 3,000 people attending from the Hudson Valley, New York City, and beyond.
Activities include: hay maze, children’s crafts, hay rides around the farm, dozens of local vendors, live music, delicious local food, scavenger hunt, puppet shows, cider pressing, and more!
Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School holds an All-School Open House throughout the day – tour the school, meet some of our teachers and see some of our students’ work.
The Magical Puppet Tree performers will also stage a puppet show story time. This year’s performance is “Arrow to the Sun,” a Native American tale presented in silk marionette and colored light theater. Showtimes are at 11am, 1pm, and 2pm. The First People of this land have a rich storytelling tradition for which we are grateful! This tale tells of a boy’s quest to know his father who lives in the land of the sky. On his journey there he must face his fear and find courage – thus discovering not only who his father is, but also who he, himself, has become. Please join us in the Morning Star Kindergarten Theater to share in this collaborative offering that features the work of Early Childhood Teachers, parents, and local artists and musicians. Admission is $4.
