Join us for the 22nd Annual Hawthorne Valley Fall Festival
Sunday, October 9 from 10am to 4pm
For 22 years, Hawthorne Valley has offered the Fall Festival as a free public event to thank our donors, customers, volunteers, community members, and local vendors for their support and partnership. The Festival is the perfect opportunity to get to know Hawthorne Valley’s diverse initiatives and experience the beauty of autumn in Columbia County. Over the years, the Festival has grown into a seasonal favorite with over 3,000 people attending from the Hudson Valley, New York City, and beyond.
Activities include: hay maze, children’s crafts, hay rides around the farm, dozens of local vendors, live music, delicious local food, tours of Hawthorne Valley initiatives, puppet shows, cider pressing, and more!
Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School holds an All-School Open House throughout the day – tour the school, meet some of our teachers and see some of our students’ work.
This year’s Magical Puppet Tree performance is “The Story of Goldener”:
Goldener, the youngest child, becomes lost in the forest. Bereft of family, he seeks his way home. On his journey he apprentices himself to a bird catcher, gardener, and a fisherman. Please join us as Goldener follows his dreams and finds the gifts he has to give to the world. This story is based on a tale by Bronja Zahlingen and will be performed by the Early Childhood Faculty of Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School in the Morning Star Kindergarten Theater. Times 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 2 p.m. ($4 admission).
We hope to see you there!
