Book Launch Celebration: From the Hudson to the Taconics
The public is warmly invited to join us for a Book Launch Celebration marking Farmscape Ecology Program‘s publication of From the Hudson to the Taconics: An Ecological and Cultural Field Guide to the Habitats of Columbia County, New York. This book is co-authored with Hudsonia Ltd. and is based on decades of field research. The book launch will be held on Sunday, May 5 at 2pm under Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School’s Pavilion. Attendees will hear from the authors, enjoy refreshments and conversation with fellow habitat enthusiasts, and have the opportunity to purchase the book or pick up their preordered copy. We hope to see you all there!

2pm: Welcoming refreshments, book pickup, book signing (books will be available for purchase and preorder pickup throughout the event)
2:30pm: Remarks and readings
3-4pm: Building on the Field Guide
- View a display introducing the Farmscape Ecology Program’s new initiative focused on three habitats identified as especially worthy of greater study, appreciation, and protection.
- Talk with the authors and FEP staff about this exciting new project and about the habitat outreach this summer.
- Mingle with old and new friends and enjoy more refreshments!
